Scene on Three #7: Magic Slays

Selamat pagi dan selamat hari Selasa :D

Sudah lama saya ga ikutan meme Scene on Three yang dihost sama Bacaan B.Zee. Selain suka lupa tanggal, mood blogging yang naik turun ngalahin mood PMS juga ikut berbicara :v. Tapi, pembahasan beberapa hal yang saya alami beberapa ini membuat saya jadi teringat sebuah dialog di buku yang sudah saya baca. Ya, jangan kaget kalau lagi - lagi saya share dialog dari buku karya Ilona Andrews, hehe. Saya merasa, saya harus banget share adegan ini. Karena dialog yang ada di buku Magic Slays, sangat, sangat menggambarkan realita kehidupan saat ini, utamanya secara global dan juga di Indonesia.

Okay, ini agak serius :P. But, hey, yuk mari dicek adegan apa yang saya share di Scene on Three kali ini :):

His question acted as a catalyst, breaking a spell that held him beguiled and her enthralled. She open beneath him; not just her body. All of her. He sensed it in every part of him.

She twined her arms around his neck and tilted her head until her lips brushed the corner of his mouth. "My beautiful husband," she said. "I see a radiance."

I just realize when it comes to a book that have so many raving reviews, I always read it too late. I know, I know, but I have my reason. Reading a book that my friends praised over and over will make a high expectation. And if there was a thing that I hate, it's high expectation. Because if I end up dislike the book, it's like my hope was crushed, I don't know what's wrong with me because why my friend love it but I'm not, and my world had ended.

Right, those reasons are exaggerated, lol! Reading a book with a good rating is like how to trust yourself to read it, put aside your expectation and it's not easy. But, in the end you will be glad that you give it a chance to read, even the result might be opposite.

Enough with the chit chat anyway! Let's go to the review :)

"In your face, Neil Armstrong!"

Dari semua genre film yang saya tonton, selain romcom/flick chick, science fiction film adalah film yang jarang banget saya tonton. Pertama, saya males kalau modelnya seperti model - model Alien, karena dikejar - kejar predator itu bikin parno. Kedua, kadang terlalu scientific, yang ujung- ujungnya saya malah ngantuk nontonnya. Mungkin film space yang saya tonton adalah Star Trek dan Star Wars, tapi keduanya juga bukan murni sci-fi. Lebih ke space opera. Sci-fi terakhir yang saya tonton adalah Gravity yang lumayan bikin depresi. Dan belum, saya belum nonton Interstellar, meskipun Nolan salah satu sutradara fave saya, tapi alasan belum nonton sudah saya kemukakan sebelumnya.

But, the hype to watch The Martian is too much, I simply must go to the cinema!

Eniwei, salah satu alasan saya nonton The Martian, karena ini juga diangkat dari buku The Martian karya Andy Weir. Jadi bisa sekalian saya review di blog ini untuk filmnya XD. Sesuai dengan kebijakan saya yaitu, mending nonton filmnya dulu baru ntar baca bukunya, saya juga belum menyentuh buku The Martian sama sekali. Hypenya sebenarnya sudah sangat terasa sejak tahun lalu, terutama saat The Martian menjadi best book Goodreads Choice 2014 untuk kategori science fiction. Yang kenal saya, pasti tahu kalau saya males banget baca buku dengan hype tinggi. Tapi, saat satu persatu teman yang saya percaya penilaiannya selama ini dalam mereview buku juga menyukai The Martian...saya pun tidak ragu untuk hari Sabtu kemaren bela - belain ke Blitz Grand Indonesia untuk menonton film ini. Lucunya, saat nonton, sebelah kiri saya adalah keluarga yang terdiri dari emak - emak gaoel, suaminya dan anaknya plus cukup keras juga ngomongnya. Terus di sebelah kanan adalah pasangan orang pacaran. Saya pun ngebatin, awas nih pada rame pas filmnya dimulai --". Parahnya, sebelum film dimulai ada iklan si "sesuatu" yang bikin semua penghuni bioskop ketawa ga karuan. Yah, lumayan buat hiburan :)). Tirai bioskop pun dibuka, film mulai bergulir dan....
