Hello and welcome to Fall in Love Giveaway Hop! This is my second International Blog Hop, and thanks for Reading Romances as the blog hop host. The theme of this giveaway is all about romance. I had become reader from 6 years old and read so many genres. But back in college, I discover White Lies by Linda Howard and falling in love with romance genre. White Lies is classic for me, and I always thanks my friend for recommend that book for me. Since that I become avid romance reader. Even I still read another genre such as high fantasy, mystery or thriller suspense, I always read romance book more than once a week.
There's some authors that always make me fall in love again and again with their book. Like J.D.Robb with her In Death series (yes, she create the ultimate hero in my romancelandia, Roarke), Lisa Kleypas who introduced me to her historical romance, Gena Showalter and Kresley Cole whose their books is the first paranormal books I'd read , Nalini Singh who have a beautiful writing style, Shelly Laurenston and Sandra Hill who is my crack when it come to romance with humor. And still so many more.
So for this giveaway, I want to know what make you fall in love with romance genre? Who authors that make you fall in love over and over with their book? I will pick 2 winners to win book of their choice, up to USD 10. This giveaway is open to ALL! :)

Sardjono, walau jaman itu ada beberapa penulis wanita lainnya, ngga tau kenapa nyangkutnya ama karya2nya Maria, hahaha.. sementara kalau pengarang luar, demennya ama Danielle Steel :D

BalasHapusUhmm....I don't know for sure. maybe because I love to read how the character grows from bad to good because of love. Maybe because I'm happy to know that love still exists in this cynical world.
About authors, there are many romance authors that I love. But the ones who always make me fall in love are : Linda Howard, Julie Garwood, John Green, David Leviathan and Marga T :D

BalasHapusBiarpun bukan penggemar romance aku punya buku romance favorit, yaitu Jane Eyre karangan Charlotte Bronte. Aku suka buku ini karena 2 tokoh utamanya, walaupun nggak sempurna secara fisik, mereka punya karakter kuat dan bisa saling melengkapi. Kayaknya mereka bener-bener made for each other gitu deh. #eaaa
I love reading romance books maybe because their stories are mostly light and easy to follow (I don't like reading books that require me to think too much. I mean, hey, I read for entertainment!!) and alsooo.. the stories are sweet and have happy endings. I love happy endings.

Saya lupa buku romance pertama yang saya baca, tapi saya masih ingat penulisnya Nora Roberts. Romance itu selalu happy ending, ringan, dan ga jarang bikin hati jadi hangat. Kalau lagi suntuk, romance adalah genre yang tepat untuk menjadi obatnya.
BalasHapusSering baca novel romance semenjak liat cover cover novel romance GagasMedia & Bukune yang cantik cantik.. jadi tertarik beli :) tapi pas bacanya gak menimbulkan kesan mendalam. Sejauh ini novel romance yang aku suka cuma dari Sophie Kinsella, yang gak sepenuhnya romance, dibalut sama komedi juga. Novel romance yang paling berkesan,.. Kau aku dan sepucuk angpao merah nya Tere Liye (ini romance juga kan genrenya? ;)), ceritanya simpeeel, tapi bacanya jadi enak dan pas selesai malah kaget, pengen dilanjutin lagi ceritanya. Lebih ke karena bahasanya & ceritanya yang sederhana.

BalasHapusYang membuatku jatuh cinta pada romance genre adalah alur cerita yang penuh intrik, penuh perasaan, dan kemampuan genre ini untuk merasakan perasaan karakter tanpa perlu berandai-andai. Semua orang pasti pernah merasakan menyukai seseorang, mengidolakan seseorang, bahkan membenci seseorang. Semua itu aku rasakan dalam genre ini.
Selain itu, tentu saja karakternya yang membuat kita "berliur". Hehehehehehe...

Hmm.. Buat Historical Romance aku suka banget sama Lisa Kleypas. Kalo suspense and thriller tentunya J.D. Robb dengan Roarke-nya. Kalo paranormal romance, I love Gena Showalter.

BalasHapus2. There are very many good romance authors , but I guess that the very first book that was a pretty big deal for me to fall in love with the romance genre is Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare as cliche as it may sound.

Well, romance will always be apart of good stories, so I never find some stories without it (either its romance books or another genre), but for spesific genre of romance books. I'll start loving it while reading Barbara Cartland's then a modern version of historical romance (my favorite until now is Lisa Kleypas and Judith McNaught), and don't forget romance-suspence from Barbara Taylor Bradford, Sandra Brown and Nora Roberts (only the thriller, not harlequin) also as JD Robb too. Ouw I almost forget JR Ward, never leave without thinking about Zsadist :D

BalasHapusI've fallin in love with romance genre since junior high, when my best friend lend me her aunt novel's collection by Barbara Cartland,then move on to Sandra Brown and Nora Robbert,Lisa Kleypas, Judith Mcnauhgt, Genna S, etc..
but the one and only that can make me fallin love over and over again is In-Death series by JD Robb :)))
Altough I also love another genre (suspence, Thriller, Historical, Civil War, etc) romance always be my passion :P

BalasHapusI fall in love with romance genre since forever..my official romance novel tuh waktu smp mulai baca harlequin (walo sambil sumput2an - karena jelas itu bukan konsumsi anak smp). Kenapa ya suka romance novel? it makes me happy. though in the journey maybe I shed a tears, grumbling about how stupid the characters were, even swearing when someone hurt,still in the end I found the HEA.

Kristen Ashley. She written the perfect romance stories. Create the most amazing heroes but not someone who flawless. And with the right hotness level for my taste.
I also love Linda Howard's, Lisa Kleypas's, and Susan Elizabeth Phillips's.
I love romance novel because of the love story in the book. I mean, I love to read about how love can cross any differences and do the unimaginable and even become the source of pain in one's life.

I just borrowed a book when I had nothing to read, and it happened to be a romance which I loved, so I wanted to read more in this genre. I particularly love Dark Hunter books by Sherrilyn Kenyon.

I love romance because it is a fantasy to me. I love being swept up in the stories of people finding their soul mates. I hope one day I will have a story to tell like that. I think if I had to pick a favorite romance author, off the top of my head, I would have to say V.C. Andrews.

I fall in love with a certain genre because I'm already interested on the ideas being presented. Take paranormal romance - I've loved mythology, supernatural beings, etc. since I was young so it wasn't hard to delve into such stories.

The first love romance that made me fall in love is also written by linda howard ^.^, love her killing time, actually at first, i underestimated it a lil bit, but after i read it, i can't stop reading it >.<, why i love it? i think it's because there's some scene,that we (women) sometimes love to fantasize but we (I mean, me ...lol) don't have the chance to exeperience it in real life..so the great thing about it, these remarkable writers can make us feel like we're part of the scene and allow us to dream for a while ... p.s: i i love eve <3<3 (in death series, JD Robb), she's a great woman, with all her "perfectnes", she also has a vulnerable side, that made me and roarke can't turn our eyes from her :)

Selama masa kuliah, saya mengagumi karya Agnes Jessica. Lalu semenjak seorang teman meperkenalkan kaya Lisa Kleypas (Smooth talking stranger), saya mulai meyukai karya penulis ini. Tapi Johanna Lindsey lebih memikat hati saya dengan seri Malory-nya. hahha
Bahkan untuk beberapa novel favorite, saya sampai baca berulang-ulang kali.
Ya, kalau boleh bilang, genre ini T.O.P-lah buat saya.. \^.^/
romance is not my fav genre:/ for me,reading a romance book without another plot than romance in it,is like reading a book without plot. i love to read YA dystopian and fantasy book. of course,there is a romance,but its not the main plot. so i was ok with them. doesnt mean i care with the romance though. i dont. but some books are exception,like the darkest powers trilogy

Kenapa romance? karena romance selalu punya happy ending jadi nggak mumet mikirnya. Penokohan dibeberapa serial seperti In Death makin lama makin kuat. Tokoh-tokohnya semakin lovable khususnya-ehem-Roarke dan Eve. Jadi mengikuti setiap serinya selalu bikin seru. Setting ceritanya juga membuat tertarik. Meski jarang dipaparkan secara detail tapi terkadang dengan satu dua kalimat yang akurat bisa bikin mupeng pengen ke tempat itu. Contohnya Sisilia, Italia.

I love a happy ending! That is why I am so drawn to romance! They always have a good ending. I am usually not a fan of anything that ends sad or one of the characters dies leaving the woman/man alone in life! I don't really have any favorite romance authors. I just pick whatever sounds good to me!
