Genre pertama yang saya suka itu fantasy. Ngga peduli berapa banyak buku yang saya baca, saya akan tetap cinta sama fantasy. Bahkan sampai ada yang bilang saya ini penggemar fantasy garis keras, yang menurut saya sih, ini ngejek apa muji sih? :| Nah, saya sendiri rada was - was kalau mau baca salah satu sub genre fantasy, yaitu Urban Fantasy (UF). Karena genre kedua yang saya cintai selain fantasy itu adalah romance, dan biasanya novel UF itu endingnya HFN (Happy for Now) alias jarang happy ending. Plus, romancenya ngga banyak. Nyatanya? Tahun kemaren saya malah banyak baca novel UF, dan saya ngga masalah dengan kurangnya unsur romance. Mungkin karena saya udah semacam punya happy ending X)).
Nah, karena itulah saat saya lagi browse NetGalley demi baca ARC (Advanced Reading Copy), saya nemu Night Owls. Kavernya sendiri menurut saya cukup unik. Biasanya, kaver novel UF itu cuma ada satu cewek (yang tokoh utamanya) dengan pose - pose bak superhero (entah bawa pistol lah, pisau lah, dll). Night Owls juga sama, cuma ini ada dua. Selain itu, sinopsisnya pun cukup menarik, yaitu seorang vampire sebagai pustakawan dan punya semacam toko buku yang cuma buka di malam hari.
